The Latvian Institute of International Affairs (LIIA), in cooperation with the European Commission Representation in Latvia and the Parliament of the Republic of Latvia, is organizing the 10th anniversary edition of the international conference “EU Conversations 2025: Europe for the New Age.”
The event will take place on April 4, 2025, at the Parliament (Saeima) of the Republic of Latvia, bringing together European voices in politics, academia, and other experts. LSM will bring you a livestream of the whole day, including a separate session in the afternoon (see beow).
“The conference will focus on the European Union’s evolving role in a shifting geopolitical landscape, addressing topics such as EU competitiveness, foreign and security policy strategies, and enlargement prospects. Participants will explore how the EU can navigate current and future challenges while strengthening its global standing.” according to the organizers.

This year’s edition is organized in close collaboration with a distinguished network of regional and international partners, including the Vilnius University Institute of International Relations and Political Science (TSPMI VU), the International Centre for Defence and Security (ICDS), the Danish think tank Tænketanken EUROPA, the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA), the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI), and the German Institute for European Politics (IEP).
