As of December15 , the train timetable in Latvia will change and three new stops will be opened, said VSIA “Autotransporta direkcija” (ATD).
New stops will be opened on the Skulte line – “Dauderi”, on the Sigulda line – “Šmerlis”, and on the Jelgava line the train stop will be moved from “Baloži” to the new stop “Medemciems”.
With the new timetable introduced several regional trains will be 5-10 minutes faster in all directions, while two connecting trains are being introduced to Daugavpils with a change in Aizkraukle, ATD said.
Passengers are invited to follow the changes to train departure times with the carrier “Vivi”.
