On Tuesday, 8 April, the Government authorised the Ministry of the Interior to undertake and conclude contracts for the design and construction of Disaster Management Centres in Aizkraukle and Limbaži, supporting the allocation of €20 million for this purpose.

According to the Ministry of the Interior, the two Centres will house the State Fire and Rescue Service, the State Police, the Citizenship and Migration Office and the Emergency Medical Service under one roof.

To ensure the construction of the Centre in Aizkraukle and Limbaži, the Provisions State Agency launched open tenders in 2024. The evaluation of the tenders received has now been completed, and the results have been announced.

The construction of the Centre in Aizkraukle will be carried out by the association of persons “Jaunbūve” for EUR 10.17 million (including value added tax), while in Limbaži, the Centre will cost EUR 9.18 million and will be carried out by SIA “Piegādāju apvienība 3A”.
