A fire broke out Monday morning at a chemical plant building in Kiviõli, Ida-Viru County, where firefighting efforts remain underway.The Rescue Board has confirmed that smoke from the blaze poses no danger to locals.
Emergency services were notified at 10:44 a.m.on Monday that a building at a chemical plant on Turu tänav in Kiviõli was on fire.
“The fire is on the fifth floor,” said Martin Martinson, incident commander for the Eastern Regional Rescue Service.
