The winner of Latvia’s “Car of the Year 2025” competition is the new Škoda Kodiaq, said event organizer Māris Ozoliņš December 13.
The winner was decided by a jury vote of seven finalists. A total of 32 car models were entered in this year’s competition, which also featured in the individual nominations.
The Volkswagen Tiguan came second in the “Car of the Year 2025” nomination, while the third place in the jury voting went to the Dacia Duster, the fourth to the Toyota Camry, the fifth to the Renault Scenic, the sixth to the Hyundai Santa Fe and the seventh to the Honda CR-V.
The Škoda Kodiaq also won the Family Car of the Year 2025 and SUV of the Year 2025.
The Audi Q6 e-tron won the Innovation Car of the Year 2025, the Cupra Formentor won the Modernisation Car of the Year 2025 and the Porsche Macan won the Sportiest Car of the Year 2025.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class won the Design of the Year 2025 and Premium Car of the Year.
The Renault Scenic won the Electric Car of the Year 2025, the Toyota Camry the Surprise of the Year 2025 and the Volkswagen Amarok the 4×4 SUV of the Year 2025.
Unlike the other nominations, which are voted for only by the jury, the People’s Favorite of the Year 2025 nomination was open to everyone by voting in person at the Mols shopping centre or on the website gadaauto.lv. The Audi Q7 TFSI e received the most votes, with a total of 342 votes.

Latvia’s “Car of the Year 2024” was the Nissan X-Trail.
