Winter fun can now be enjoyed in the Esplanāde park in Rīga, where a public skating rink has opened. It’s free, but you can also rent skates for a fee.

From the first minutes of the opening, there was a queue to rent equipment, because this winter, when snow is scarce, people are longing for winter fun.

Gustavs, a visitor to the skating rink: “We really liked it, I really liked it, it was a very cool skating rink, we skated very nicely, there was such cool music, it was a nice atmosphere.”

Skating rink visitor Viktorija: “It’s very good, I like it. It’s also very beautiful.”

Pēteris: “Considering that it was Covid time and there were no ice rinks, it’s much better now, at least there is somewhere to skate in Rīga.”

The rink will be open every day until 10 pm. On weekdays, it will open at 11 am, and on weekends, it will open at 9 am.
