On Monday, Wizz Air cancelled its scheduled flights from Vilnius to Tel Aviv amid the ongoing Israeli conflict with the Hamas terrorist group.

“Due to the heightened conflict in Israel, Wizz Air has cancelled flights to and from Tel Aviv until further notice,” the company said in a statement.

The company’s flights from Vilnius to Tel Aviv operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. They will be resumed when the situation in Israel improves, according to Wizz Air.

“We are constantly monitoring and assessing the situation and are ready to resume flights as soon as possible, which is why we are making daily schedule changes. Wizz Air apologises for any inconvenience caused and stresses that the safety and security of passengers, crew, and aircraft is its top priority,” the company said.

Passengers who have purchased tickets have been informed and can get a refund or change their travel dates, Wizz Air added.

Another company, Ryanair, which operates flights between Vilnius and Tel Aviv, said that currently flights operate as normal, and further action will depend on the situation.
