Virtual Three for the Weekend: Sound Poets, Mother’s Day, Art Agenda

Though restrictions on public gatherings are due to be relaxed slightly from May 12, they remain in force this weekend. So here are some things to do and enjoy in the virtual realm over the next few days. And remember to be particularly nice to your (and everyone else’s) mother.

The weekly “Z Studija” concert promises a warm breeze of spring in an acoustic style. 8 May’s concert on LTV1 features popular group The Sound Poets.

At the beginning of the year, the band carefully prepared for this acoustic concert, an opportunity to establish direct contact with the audience. The state of emergency stunted the preparations – the musicians admit that postponing the concert was hard to accept. Yet, they still want to reach their audience and will do so tonight.

This year, Mother’s Day is at a time when gatherings are banned. For those who will not be able to give their moms a hug in person, Latvian celebrities have created digital greetings.
