Vilnius authorities invite people over 35 to get AZ jabs over the weekend

The Lithuanian government is planning to launch mass vaccination in late May and is currently still giving jabs to people over 65 and those in priority groups.

With some 6,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine shots remaining unused, Vilnius authorities have invited people over 35 to register for jabs over the weekend.

Jabs will be offered to younger people in order to use up the supplies of AstraZeneca vaccines. People over 35 can only sign up for these vaccines.

The vaccination facility housed in the Litexpo exhibition hall will be operating at full capacity this weekend.

Registration is open to residents of Vilnius who are covered by the Compulsory Health Insurance.
