Vaccine approved for teenagers in Lithuania

According to BNS, the decision follows the European Medicines Agency’s recommendation that Moderna’s vaccine were authorized for children aged 12 to 17 years. Currently, the two-shot vaccine is administered to people aged 18 years and over. It is the second coronavirus vaccine approved for adolescents in Lithuania after the Pfizer-BioNTech one. The other two vaccines used in the country – AstraZeneca and Janssen – are only given to adults.
