Data of the Labour Force Survey (LFS) published August 19 by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that in July 2021 actual unemployment rate comprised 7.5 %, which is 0.3 percentage points less than in June. The number of unemployed persons declined in the second quarter and is moving now towards the pre-crisis level, state agency Statistics Estonia says. Reported unemployment in Estonia fell 0.5 percentage points between April and May, to 8 percent. Data from the Unemployment Insurance Fund (Töötukassa) put registered unemployed at 52,362 at the end of May. Compared to the fourth quarter of 2020, unemployment declined by 1,500 persons, state agency Statistics Estonia (Statistikaamet) announced.
