Mass demonstration in Vilnus in solitarity with teachers’ strike

Large protest has been held in Vilnius, with many Lithuanians gathering in solidarity of a teacher strike currently held by over thousand workers of schools and kindergartens across the Baltic country. Lithuanian Ministry of Education and Science has this year reformed the pay system of teachers in schools and kindergartens. The union holding the strike wants it overhauled and to achieve a 20% hike in teacher wages from January 2019.
