Retail turnover rose 4 percent on year to February 2021, at a figure of €594 million, state agency Statistics Estonia says. This represented a slight slow-down on the previous month’s figures. Retail turnover increased 6 percent on year to November 2020, state agency Statistics Estonia reports. Statistics Estonia says retail trade turnover stood at €655 million in November. Limitations on  sales of goods during weekends have shortcomings, and Economics Ministry intends to correct them in the near future, Minister Jānis Vitenbergs told Latvian Television December 4. He said that, for example, the prohibition to sell car oil or antifreeze on weekends, and other items needed for vehicle maintenance and safety, should be revised. According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2020, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was €665 million. Compared to October 2019, turnover increased by 6 percent at constant prices.
