Latvian manufacturing production output rose by 1.8 %

New data released September 3 by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that, compared to July 2019, in July 2020, manufacturing production output rose by 1.8 % (according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices) despite the coronavirus crisis. Production output increases were also registered in mining and quarrying (of 11.5 %), but in electricity and gas supply there was a drop (14.1 %). Data compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that, compared to March 2019, in March 2020 industrial production output dropped by 3.6 % (according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices). The decline was due to the output reduction in manufacturing (of 3.6 %), electricity and gas supply (4.8 %), as well as mining and quarrying (2.1 %).
