Lithuania’s economy shrank by 5.5 percent in the second quarter compared to the first quarter, according to figures released by the country’s statistics office on Monday. The share of the shadow economy in Latvia did not change significantly in 2019, remaining at just under a quarter of the total economy, according to the annual research of the Shadow Economy Index for the Baltic Countries conducted by the Stockholm School of Economics in Rīga.
