In just one month of 2021, three employees of the Latvian Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC) have resigned. SPKC currently employs 143 professionals as listed on their website. SPKC representatives acknowledged that resources are insufficient to ensure effective Covid-19 management. This affects the quality of the epidemiological investigation, detection and localization of outbreaks. “Since the beginning of 2020, fourteen employees have resigned” – LSM.LV reports. LSM.LV
