Several technology enthusiasts will try to take Lithuania’s flag into the stratosphere on the occasion of the country’s independence centenary. Under the project, called “The Tricolor in the Space”, a weather balloon filled with hydrogen gas would take the flag up some 30 kilometers on Sep. 1 and the balloon will later collapse and safely land with the help of a parachute.
