Latvia recorded one more cases of 19 COVID-19 on May 13, increasing the total number of cases from 950 on Tuesday to 951 on Wednesday.
One additional fatality was also recorded. The latest victim was aged between 85 and 90, with underlying serious health conditions.
The new figure was released by the Disease Prevention and Control Center (SPKC) which said 2,199 tests had been conducted during the previous 24-hour period.
In total 81,246 tests have been carried out since February 29.
29 patients are in hospital, most of whom have moderate symptoms of the disease but 2 of whom are designated as being in a serious condition.
So far 19 deaths of patients with coronavirus have been recorded and 627 patients have recovered from infection.
State Police said they carried out 1,604 checks about potential violations of emergency measures during the last 24 hours, writing seven tickets as a result.
