Some 300,000 disposable overshoes, produced by a cluster of Lithuanian companies, are to be delivered to the country’s medical establishments.
B-link Pharma initiated the production of overshoes which are being made by Lelija, Vixit, Geba and Vilkma. Raw materials have been supplied by Plasteda and Guminukas, and Justida is in charge of logistics.
“I am very glad that not only our medics, but also our industry is taking part in this process and the money stays in Lithuania, our workers and businesses do the job,” Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga told a press conference on Friday.
Acting Economy Minister Žygimantas Vaičiūnas says the joint business initiative could export some of the production.
