Latvia plans to buy a computer for every pupil by 2025

A number of public officials signed a “Computer for Every Child” cooperation memorandum, which aims to provide an adequate computer for learning process to every pupil and teacher by 2025, the President’s Chancellery said May 14.

“The last year of learning has largely gone online, and we found that a significant percentage of children can’t study because they don’t have computers. We cannot allow this, so this memorandum is a commitment to set up a system for all children and teachers who need it to have their own computer,” the President said.
