Baltic states report lowest Covid-19 figures since pandemic began

This week, the Baltic states have reported some of the lower figures of new Covid-19 infections since the pandemic began.

On Monday, the Latvian authorities said there were no new cases of Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, while Estonia and Lithuania reported one and three new infections, respectively.

So far, 68 people in Estonia, 24 in Latvia, and 70 in Lithuania have died from Covid-19.

Lithuania has 1,678 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and has performed 304,854 tests.

Latvia has confirmed 1,066 cases and has performed 109,723 tests, while Estonia has reported 1,870 cases and has done 84,156 tests.

Latvia has extended the state of emergency until June 9, Estonia has declared its over, while Lithuania has extended the quarantine until June 16 while easing multiple restrictions, Baltic News Network (BNN) reports.
