Weekly Covid-19 figures close to historical peak numbers

Last week, the number of Covid-19 cases detected was historically the second-highest in Latvia, Disease Prevention and Control Center (SPKC) reported October 4. An average of 979 new Covid-19 cases per day (the week before 604) were detected in Latvia last week. The number of newly identified cases increased by 62.2%.
