The proportion of people in Latvia suffering from asthma is among the lowest in the European Union according to new data from the EU’s statistics agency, Eurostat. On Sunday, September 26, Latvia recorded 567 new cases of Covid-19 infection, according to the Disease Prevention and Control Center (SPKC). Of the total number of positive cases, 478 were unvaccinated persons, or persons not fully vaccinated, and 89 were fully vaccinated.  The total number of cases detected since the start of the pandemic now stands at 154,786.  Of 13,112 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 4.3 % were positive.
