Though the proportion of Covid-19 cases at schools compared to general population is small, the virus is spreading. There are at least 125 groups or forms of pupils quarantining in Rīga, Lavian Radio reported September 14. 460 Covid-19 cases confirmed Tuesday in Latvia

On Tuesday, September 14, Latvia recorded 460 new cases of Covid-19 infection, according to the Disease Prevention and Control Center (SPKC). Of the total number of positive cases, 354 were unvaccinated persons, or persons not fully vaccinated, and 106 were fully vaccinated. Merger of universities planned in coming years

Electricity prices rose to a new record high on Tuesday, beating the previous record set on Monday. The price rose by 4.9 percent to €141.6. Estonia’s state-owned Estonian energy group Eesti Energia AS will recieve €30 million in compensation after signing a compromise agreement with GE Power Estonia AS.
