Half a million Latvian residents have got the Covid-19 jab

According to National Health Service (NVD) data, over half a million residents of Latvia have got at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. 501,732 residents received at least one dose of the vaccine.  258,679 people have received both doses. By the afternoon of June 2, the digital Covid-19 certificate has already been downloaded by nearly 140,000 people, according to the National Health Service (NVD). Passenger transport reduced by half in Latvia

Eesti Energia to drop oil shale electricity production by 2030

State energy firm Eesti Energia announced it will stop producing electricity from oil shale by 2030. On Wednesday, June 2, Latvia recorded 348 new cases of Covid-19 infection, according to the Disease Prevention and Control Center (SPKC).
