638 new cases of Covid-19 registered in Latvia

On Thursday, April 1, Latvia recorded 638 new cases of Covid-19, according to the Disease Prevention and Control Center (SPKC), almost the same as the 630 cases recorded 24 hours previously. The total number of cases detected since the start of the pandemic now stands at 103,001. Of 18,174 tests carried out in the last 24 hours, 3.5% were positive, down on the 3.9% rate the day before. 4% is regarded as the threshold at which the virus is spreading…

Estonia: State forestry commission reports 2020 revenue of €187.5 million

State forestry commission the RMK has reported a revenue of €187.5 million and operating profits of €82.4 million for 2020. Over half of the profit arose from the sale of land in southwest Estonia earmarked for a wind farm. An information campaign has been launched encouraging the public to take up the chance to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. airBaltic to restart Tallinn-Munich flights in May

Latvian airline company airBaltic will relaunch flights between Tallinn and Munich three times a week from May 1. The flights will depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Currently, airBaltic flies direct to Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, London, Oslo, Stockholm and Riga. The company plans to starts flying to Brussels, Malaga, Paris and Vilnius in the coming months. Minister of Health: too soon for ‘live queues’ at vaccination centers
