Unemployment rate increased in Latvia

Data of the Labor Force Survey published February 18 by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that in January 2021 actual unemployment rate comprised 8.8%. This is 0.6 percentage points more than in December.   Unemployment rate registered by the State Employment Agency (NVA) accounted for 8.0% – an increase of 0.3 percentage points, compared to December. National Health Service (NVD) on February 18 confirmed Āris Kasparāns as its new director, said LSM.
